NickelSearch Limited (ASX: $NIS) has announced the identification of additional lithium targets at its 100% owned Carlingup Project near Ravensthorpe in Western Australia. The infill soil sampling results over high priority areas of interest have confirmed significant lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) anomalies to the west and south of the Quarry, measuring between 250m X 500m and 200m X 100m. The company is now planning a drill program to test these strong LCT anomalies, with five targets identified from early work within and around the 28 areas of interest.
Our work so far demonstrates compelling evidence of the presence of a LCT pegmatite system, with anomalism within and to the north, west and south of the Quarry. Based on these results, it is plausible to suggest that the LCT indicators observed over this area represent one large system. It is very encouraging to see these results, with pegmatites in the region generally having relatively weak surface expressions and better grades in the fresh parts of the system below. Drill planning is now underway to test under these strong anomalies.
NickelSearch Limited (ASX: $NIS) has made significant progress in assessing lithium potential and defining targets for a first lithium-focused drill program at its Carlingup Project. The identification of additional lithium targets to the west and south of the Quarry, along with the planning of a drill program to test these strong LCT anomalies, marks a positive development for the company. The ongoing work to generate, refine, and prioritise lithium targets, as well as the negotiations for access and compensation to enable drilling on private land, demonstrate the company's commitment to advancing its exploration efforts. With further regional lithium exploration and desktop analysis underway, NickelSearch is poised to accelerate its lithium exploration programs and define drill-ready targets in the near future.
