Nordic Nickel Limited (ASX:$NNL) has announced the final assay results from its 2023 drilling program at the Hotinvaara Prospect, part of its 100%-owned flagship Pulju project in Northern Finland. The company completed 28 diamond drill-holes for 15,432m as part of its maiden drilling program at the Project.
Nordic Nickel Managing Director, Todd Ross, expressed satisfaction with the results, stating, 'It's great to finish the year with one of the widest zones of higher grade nickel sulphide mineralisation seen at the project. This is a very encouraging indication of the fertility and endowment of the system, providing clear evidence that Hotinvaara has the potential to host large accumulations of high grade nickel sulphides.' Ross also highlighted the ongoing work on updating the Mineral Resource Estimate and the detailed review of the data generated from the 2023 drill program. He emphasized the focus on building a refined geological model to accurately design and target the next round of holes for potential breakthrough discoveries.
The final assay results from Nordic Nickel's 2023 drilling program have revealed substantial extensions to the Hotinvaara resource and the presence of higher grade nickel sulphide zones. The company is actively engaged in updating the Mineral Resource Estimate and developing interpretive cross-sections to enhance its understanding of the mineralisation controls. The results confirm the potential for significant expansion of the current Mineral Resource Estimate and reinforce the fertility of the system. Nordic Nickel is optimistic about the prospects for 2024 and is planning for a refined geological model to target the next round of drilling, aiming for potential breakthrough discoveries.
