Novo Resources Corp (ASX:NVO) has defined an Exploration Target for the Belltopper Gold Project in the Bendigo Tectonic Zone, Victoria. The company's 2024 exploration program has resulted in the definition of an Exploration Target based on seven reefs showing high prospectivity. The project is located approximately 50 km south of the high-grade Fosterville Gold Mine and is considered an exciting, high-grade gold opportunity in a tier-one gold region.
Novo Executive Co-Chairman and Acting CEO Mike Spreadborough expressed excitement about the Belltopper Project, highlighting the outstanding job done by the Novo geological team in defining the geology, mineralization, and prospectivity of Belltopper. He emphasized the potential for the project to grow in size and scale, with a focus on expanding its prospectivity.
The Belltopper Gold Project has defined an Exploration Target based on seven high prospectivity reefs. Novo aims to grow the Exploration Target and systematically test high priority, drill-ready, conceptual shallow and deeper targets. The company is optimistic about the potential of emerging and high priority mineralized trends such as Butchers Gully and the Welcome Fault. Forward work programs include diamond drilling in 2025-2026 to validate gold mineralization associated with individual reefs and to test higher-priority conceptual shallow and deeper targets. Novo is focused on exploring for world-class, Fosterville-style, anticline related targets, which are considered the highest priority targets at Belltopper.
