Peel Mining Limited (ASX:PEX) has completed a 15 RC drillhole programme at Wagga Tank to test for potential supergene and oxide copper and gold mineralisation. The assay results for drillhole WTRC255 have been provided, revealing significant supergene and sulphide mineralised intercepts. The true width of the intercepts is unknown, but the new mineralisation is outside of Wagga Tank's existing mineral resource and is open to the north, with IP geophysics supporting strike extension potential.
Recent drilling at Wagga Tank aimed at testing for potential shallow supergene/oxide mineralisation has returned some promising early results, including a substantial high-grade sulphide intercept outside of the existing resource. This new mineralisation is open along strike to the north with minimal historic drill testing, pointing to an extensional opportunity. We look forward to receipt of the remaining assays.
Peel Mining Limited (ASX:PEX) has achieved significant supergene and sulphide mineralisation intercepts at the Wagga Tank deposit, with the new mineralisation being outside of the existing resource and open to the north. The company's technical director, Rob Tyson, expressed optimism about the potential for extensional opportunities and the receipt of the remaining assays. The true width of the intercepts is yet to be determined, and future drilling will be undertaken to establish this. The company's Wagga Tank-Southern Nights deposit forms an important part of Peel's South Cobar Project, and the recent drilling results indicate the presence of high-grade mineralisation, offering potential for further exploration and development.
