Perpetual Resources Limited (ASX: $PEC) has announced the outcomes of its latest soil sampling campaign at the Itinga prospect in the 'Lithium Valley' region of Brazil. The results reveal strongly anomalous lithium soil sampling results, confirming the prospect's potential for lithium mineralisation. The soil sampling campaign, analyzed by pXRF and reported by Portable Spectral Services Pty Ltd, has led to the identification of enlarged and higher confidence soil anomalies coinciding with outcropping and interpreted subsurface pegmatites.
Perpetual's Exploration Manager, Allan Stephens, commented, 'These results, which are consistent and complementary with prior announced results, bolster our exploration efforts and provide tangible evidence of potential underlying mineralised pegmatites in our prospect areas in Itinga. The fact that our prospect areas located so close to world-class lithium producers such as Sigma, CBL, and Lithium Ionic, provides promising validation of our exploration strategy, and moves us much closer to the identification of near-term drill targets in coming quarters.'
The infill soil sampling campaign at Itinga prospect has reaffirmed the potential for lithium mineralisation, with strongly anomalous lithium soil sampling results and coincident outcropping and interpreted subsurface pegmatites. The company's ongoing exploration strategy aims to identify near-term drill targets in the coming quarters. Perpetual's strategic positioning among established lithium deposits and the commencement of a Hyperspectral Survey indicate a proactive approach to further exploration. The company's focus on critical minerals aligns with its ambitions to augment its growing portfolio of exploration and development projects.
