Siren Gold Limited (ASX: $SNG) has been granted an extension of the Lyell exploration permit for an additional 5 years by New Zealand Petroleum and Minerals (NZPaM). The Lyell Goldfield, located within the Reefton Project, has shown promising results from previous trenching and surface sampling, including high-grade gold mineralisation.
Lyell has the potential to be the jewel in Siren's crown, based on the recent discovery by the Company around Mt Lyell North of high-grade gold mineralisation, which extends over a 1km strike. Our geological team are looking forward to drilling once all approvals are in place and replicating the surface rock chips and trenching data gathered last year.
Siren Gold Limited's successful extension of the Lyell exploration permit signifies a significant opportunity for the company to further explore and potentially exploit high-grade gold mineralisation in the Lyell Goldfield. With the access agreement with the Department of Conservation expected to be concluded during Q3 CY24, drilling targeting the high-grade shoots will commence soon after. The company's Managing Director and CEO, Victor Rajasooriar, expressed confidence in the potential of the Lyell project, highlighting the geological team's anticipation for drilling activities once all necessary approvals are secured. Siren Gold's focus on replicating the promising surface rock chips and trenching data gathered last year reflects the company's commitment to leveraging the identified high-grade gold mineralisation. The outlook for Siren Gold involves a strategic pursuit of exploration and potential resource expansion within the Lyell Goldfield, aligning with the company's goal of maximizing the value of its mining projects.
