Sky Metals Limited (ASX:SKY) has announced the final assay results from the in-fill Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at its 100%-owned Tallebung Tin Project in New South Wales. The results include broad, higher-grade tin intersections, such as TBRC114 with 29m @ 0.50% tin & 33.8g/t silver, demonstrating excellent continuity of another higher-grade zone within the Tallebung deposit. The Managing Director, Oliver Davies, highlighted the potential for the development of these areas and the significant value in the intercepts, particularly with the use of TOMRA ore sorting to effectively multiply the tin grade across the entire deposit.
These higher-grade intercepts once again show the potential for the development of these areas as SKY continues to in-fill and expand the existing tin Resources at Tallebung. These results are particularly significant given that a tin grade of 0.50% is equivalent to over 1.5% copper, highlighting the value in these intercepts - that is before beneficiation via TOMRA ore sorting, which has been demonstrated to effectively multiply the tin grade across the entire deposit. These results, combined with the previously announced higher-grade zone on the southern margin of the known deposit footprint, are beginning to show exceptional potential for these zones to enable fast payback of Capex and low Opex for any potential future mining operations at Tallebung.
The in-fill drilling program at Sky Metals' Tallebung Tin Project has revealed broad, higher-grade tin intersections, indicating the growth potential of the project. The results demonstrate excellent continuity of another higher-grade zone within the Tallebung deposit, with the potential to significantly increase the size, grade, and confidence of the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The company aims to release potential mining studies based on the improved geological models. Additionally, the success in ore sorting trials and the proposed bulk samples for metallurgical testwork and mining reconciliation will play a vital role in informing future mining studies at Tallebung. Sky Metals continues to focus on the exploration and development of high-value mineral resources in Australia, with a portfolio offering exposure to the tin, gold, and copper markets in New South Wales.
