Strandline Resources Limited (ASX:STA) has announced that the Northern Australian Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) will advance $5m for the construction of a new airstrip and associated infrastructure at its Coburn mineral sands project in Western Australia. The airstrip aims to enhance operational efficiency and worker retention by significantly reducing travel time for employees and contractors.
The Strandline team is making excellent progress in implementing our strategy to improve the operational and financial results at Coburn. A key part of this plan involves driving greater efficiencies, which includes retaining staff. Currently, a significant portion of our employees and contractors have to drive 3 hours or more to the Coburn site. The airstrip will significantly reduce the time that employees and contractors spend on the road, leading to greater efficiencies and improved worker retention.
