Sunshine Metals Limited (ASX: $SHN) has reported significant results from its step out diamond drill holes at the Liontown Gap Zone, with intersections of thick, high-grade gold and copper mineralisation. The drilling, located approximately 250m east of the Liontown Resource, has extended approximately 200m vertically. The company's Managing Director, Dr Damien Keys, expressed optimism about the Resource growth potential of the Gap Zone, emphasizing the significance of the under-drilled area between the Liontown and Liontown East Resources.
Dr Damien Keys, Managing Director of Sunshine Metals, commented, 'Liontown continues to deliver exceptional results. These thick, high-grade intersections demonstrate the Resource growth potential of the poorly drilled ~400m long Gap Zone, between the Liontown and Liontown East Resources. The Gap Zone intersections are interpreted to be an extension of the Liontown Footwall Lode, presenting a significant opportunity for previously unrecognised gold mineralisation in historic drilling at Liontown East. The next phase of diamond drilling at the Gap Zone will commence in June 2024.'
