Synlait Milk's trading halt request
Synlait Milk Limited (ASX: $SM1) has requested a trading halt for its equity securities and debt securities under ASX Listing Rule 17.1 and NZX Listing Rule 9.9.1(a). The halt is sought to provide the company with additional time to finalize discussions with its banking syndicate and major shareholder, Bright Dairy, regarding financial matters. The trading halt is expected to last for one trading day, commencing on Thursday, 28 March 2024.
Executive Commentary on Trading Halt Request
The trading halt request is aimed at facilitating the completion of ongoing discussions with our banking syndicate and major shareholder, Bright Dairy, to ensure an orderly and comprehensive update to the market. We are focused on addressing the prepayment obligation and seeking financial support while preparing to announce our half-year results for the six months ended 31 January 2024 on Tuesday 2 April 2024.
