Tambourah Metals Ltd (ASX: $TMB) has completed the maiden aircore drilling program at the Cheela Gold Project in the Ashburton region of Western Australia. The company received assay results for 5 of the 11 holes, with the best result in CHAC003 (5m at 1.1g/t Au from 33m) associated with an extensive sub-horizontal gold anomaly open along strike. The drilling program targeted significant gold intersections in wide-spaced historic drilling, with a total of 11 aircore holes completed for 769m over a strike distance of about 90m.
We are delighted to have completed the maiden aircore drilling program at Cheela that has confirmed extensive shallow gold anomalism reported from wide spaced historic drilling. On receiving assay results for the remaining 6 drill holes, we will plan follow up RC drilling targeting the deeper high-grade intersection in ARB1222 and underlying structures.
