Taruga Minerals Limited (ASX:TAR) has successfully applied for two contiguous permits covering 306 km2 in the northern Gascoyne province of Western Australia. These permits, known as E08/3733 and E08/3744, are rich in historic high-grade workings for base and precious metals, with no drilling for base or precious metals completed despite the presence of favorable geology, structures, and geophysics.
Director David Chapman expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, 'The exceptional grades of silver, copper, and associated polymetallic minerals immediately attracted us to this package, and the combination of complex geology plus major structures within and cross cutting the tenements is compelling. A geological model review is underway.'
Taruga's acquisition of the two tenements in the Gascoyne province marks an exciting new step for the company. With the presence of high-grade historic workings for base and precious metals, as well as the potential for lithium and rare earth elements, the company is poised for further exploration and potential resource development. The review of lithium/REE potential and the engagement of Terra Resources Pty Ltd for data interpretation indicate a proactive approach towards maximizing the potential of the acquired permits. Taruga's focus on key structures within the permit areas and their proximity to crustal scale structures and related fault splays demonstrates a strategic targeting approach for future exploration. The company's commitment to thorough data review and incorporation of historical information reflects a diligent and comprehensive exploration strategy.
