Unico Silver (ASX:USL) has announced promising initial assay results from its Cerro Leon project in Argentina. The first nine drill holes at the Karina prospect indicate significant high-grade silver mineralization. The current 5,000-meter drill program is part of a larger 50,000-meter initiative spanning the Cerro Leon and Joaquin projects, with a revised Mineral Resource Estimate planned for late 2025. The project is strategically located in the mineral-rich Deseado Massif province, with notable results showing potential for further resource expansion. Drilling operations will expand in January 2025 with additional rigs to test deeper mineralization. Unico Silver aims to enhance its resource base while aligning foreign estimates with JORC standards.
The initial nine holes have exceeded our expectations, suggesting the potential for depth extensions. Our focus remains on upgrading shallow mineralization from inferred to indicated status and defining the distribution of grades. The results will contribute to a revised Mineral Resource Estimate expected in late 2025.
