Westar Resources Limited (ASX:WSR) has successfully completed the field mapping and sampling program covering the Mindoolah Mining Centre, part of the Mindoolah Gold Project located 70km from Cue WA. The program focused on identifying structural controls on quartz veins as potential hosts for gold mineralisation. Samples collected are being finalised with assay results expected in 4-5 weeks, and the drill program approval process is underway. Additionally, non-core projects Winjangoo and Parker Dome have been divested as part of Westar's strategy to reduce costs and focus on core gold and copper assets.
The field team has done a fantastic job mapping the open pits and surface area covering the historic Mindoolah Gold Mining Centre. We look forward to receiving the assay results in approximately late October. Along with the results, mapping and sampling information gathered will be instrumental in helping design the drill program.
