Western Mines Group Ltd (WMG) (ASX: $WMG) has completed the diamond drill hole MTD029 (EIS3) at the Mulga Tank Ni-Cu-PGE Project, reaching a depth of 1,722m. The hole intersected approximately 1,600m of high MgO meso-adcumulate dunite with disseminated nickel sulphide mineralisation and numerous high-grade sulphide veinlets and segregations over more than 860m. The drilling costs were co-funded up to $220,000 by the WA Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS).
Diamond hole MTD029 (EIS3) is the deepest hole drilled so far at the Mulga Tank Project and highlights the extensive nickel sulphide mineral system the Complex hosts. The hole validates our exploration thesis with very 'active' zones seen at depth and very likely basal massive sulphide component to the Mulga Tank system. The team is currently looking at further targeting possible massive sulphide accumulations.
The completion of diamond drill hole MTD029 (EIS3) at the Mulga Tank Ni-Cu-PGE Project has revealed extensive high-grade sulphide segregations at depth, confirming the presence of a significant nickel sulphide mineral system within the Mulga Tank Ultramafic Complex. The drilling costs were co-funded up to $220,000 by the WA Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS). The Company's ongoing drilling programs and exploration work aim to further explore and validate the potential for globally significant Ni-Co-Cu-PGE deposits at the Mulga Tank Project.
