XTC Lithium Limited (ASX:XTC) has released the findings from an extensive auger drilling program conducted across two of its tenements in the Southern Cross package. The program, which targeted both lithium and gold, resulted in the delineation of multiple anomalies for gold and lithium, including two gold trends with assays returning up to 437.2ppb Au, and multiple lithium readings over 50ppm proximal to granites.
The geochemical auger drilling program has successfully outlined two significant gold anomalies with values up to 437.2ppb Au and 1.1km strike length. The anomalies are along trend from the historical Southern Star open pit gold mine of the Marvel Loch/ Southern Cross region with an extensive +30ppb Au trend extending almost the length of the tenement. Additionally, lithium anomalies over 50ppm were returned with a maximum reading of 96.7 ppm Li, concentrating in the central part of the tenement approximately 1-2km from the regional granitoid. These preliminary auger results provide strong follow-up targets for further field testing.
XTC Lithium Limited (ASX:XTC) has successfully outlined two significant gold anomalies and multiple lithium readings through its recent auger drilling program in the Southern Cross package. The delineated anomalies present strong follow-up targets for further field testing, indicating the potential presence of ultramafics and pegmatites. The company plans to continue investigating the anomalies further with additional desktop interpretation and an infill program to refine targets. The Southern Cross Project, where the drilling program took place, is located 380km east of Perth, southeast of Southern Cross in the Yilgarn Goldfield, and is known for historically producing around 15Moz gold. The project area is serviced by sealed roads, grid power, scheme water, rail, and town amenities, providing a conducive environment for further exploration and potential development.
