Yandal Resources Limited (ASX:YRL) has announced the confirmation of significant gold mineralisation at the New England Granite Prospect through the results of its diamond drilling program. The initial results from two diamond holes have provided structural information and intersected substantial gold mineralisation, demonstrating the potential for mineralisation to occur in various settings. The program was co-sponsored under the Western Australia State Government Exploration Incentive Scheme.
The Managing Director of Yandal Resources, Mr. Chris Oorschot, expressed satisfaction with the results from the diamond drilling program at the New England Granite Prospect. He highlighted the confirmation of gold mineralisation and the provision of structural data, which will aid in designing a broader RC program. Mr. Oorschot emphasized the encouraging nature of the results, considering the scale of the targeted intrusive host and the extent of shallow transported cover. He also outlined the company's focus on testing the anomalous margin with RC drilling targeted at interpreted cross-cutting structures, indicating the extensive exploration search space across the New England Granite Prospect.
The diamond drilling program at the New England Granite Prospect has confirmed the potential for significant gold mineralisation within the granitoid, expanding the exploration search space to include structures within the prospect. The results have provided valuable insights into the geometry of the intrusive contact and the source of regolith anomalism, enabling the delineation of more discrete targets across the prospect. Yandal Resources has commenced follow-up RC drilling and anticipates the results of the recently completed diamond drilling at Quarter Moon. The company remains well positioned for high-level exploration activities throughout 2024, with forthcoming news on line clearing, AC drilling, and soil sampling across various target areas.
