Strong Management to Drive Shareholder Value

Cobre is an emerging resources exploration growth company whose enriched high-grade copper discoveries and high-grade development pipelines seek to underpin copper’s future growth in the electric vehicle and renewable energy sectors. The company that owns 100% of all its tenements with no joint ventures is poised to become one of the most significant players in Botswana. This 100% ownership of its tenements indicates that Cobre Ltd (ASX: CBE) stands to gain 100% from the revenues in this project.

However, a successful company is backed by a strong management team. Take Terry Semel (Yahoo! CEO from 2001-2007) and Lee Iacocca (Chrysler CEO from 1979-1992) who changed their companies and moved them to indispensable market actors when similar brands faltered. As the saying goes, people don't invest in companies. They invest in people and we provide a snapshot of Cobre’s team and why they are well-equipped to support the company’s development over the long run.

Adam Wooldridge - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Adam Wooldridge is a founding partner and CEO of KML and has played an active role in developing Cobre’s exploration projects over the last five years. Adam is an experienced geophysicist and geologist with over 25 years of experience in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, where he has worked in exploration management and consulting positions across a variety of deposit types specialising in large-scale multi-disciplinary target generation. More recently he has been involved in project generation in both Africa and SE Europe as a founding partner of both KML and Vardar Minerals. With a BSc and BSc (Hons) degree in geology and geophysics, he is a professional registered scientist and ASEG member driving innovative and environmentally friendly drilling methods across Cobre’s tenements. Over the last 20 years, he has worked on a range of commodity types including base and precious metals, iron ore, diamond, and uranium projects.

Martin Holland - EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Martin Holland is the founder and Executive Chairman of Cobre Listed (ASX: CBE), with over a decade's worth of experience in corporate finance, and was the founder and CEO of Lithium Power International (ASX: LPI) from 2015 to 2018. Holland has listed five ASX-listed exploration companies and has been an executive director in multiple other companies that have collectively raised over $200M+ towards future metal-focused greenfield exploration on assets across the globe. Lastly,  Martin operates his family office, Holland International P/L. As such, he is well-placed to ensure steady returns for investors and ensure project designs that support long-term value for Cobre shareholders. Furthermore, with interest rates being high in most jurisdictions, Martin Holland ensures that Cobre’s capital structure is leveraging current and future market trends, which should benefit investor shareholder value over the long run.

Dr. Ross McGowan - NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dr Ross McGowan is the Managing Director & CEO of ASX-listed Armada Metals Limited (ASX: AMM) and founded the Resource Exploration & Development Group, which was responsible for generating the Kitlanya East and West prospect areas held by Kalahari Metals Limited, as well as having over 20 years of academic, technical and corporate experience in mining exploration in Africa. Ross was a co-recipient of the 2015 PDAC Thayer Lindsley Award for an international Mineral Discovery for Kamoa. Ross holds an MSc in Geology, a PhD and is a fellow of the Geological Society of London and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Michael McNeilly- NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Michael McNeilly is an experienced corporate financier having advised several private, Main Market listed, AIM quoted and ISDX listed companies on a variety of corporate transactions during his tenure at Arden Partners (AIM: ARDN) and Allenby Capital respectively. McNeilly was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Connemara Mining Company PLC in February 2018 and was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of MOD Resources Limited in November 2018.

He was also previously a director of GGP, as well as a Corporate Executive at Coinsilium (NEX: COIN) where he worked with early-stage blockchain-focused start-ups providing corporate finance and strategy advice. Before his career in corporate finance, he worked at Simmons & Simmons and PartnerRe and founded two start-up companies. McNeilly studied Biology at Imperial College London and has a BA in Economics from the American University of Paris. Michael is fluent in French.

Why Copper Stocks Matter for your portfolio Long run

The copper market is headed for a growth spurt over the next two years due to mining supply disruptions and higher demand. Rising demand driven by the energy transition and dollar strength will support copper prices. Meanwhile, copper prices on the London Metal Exchange last saw a record high of $10,730 per ton in March last year from $8448.50 in 2022.

However, a strong management team is required to successfully leverage positive metal trends, and Cobre’s management team is well-placed, equipped, and skilled with verifiable experience in the sector. Remember, one should invest in teams and not companies as their experience and know-how will determine Cobre’s long-run competitiveness.
