Completion of Exploration Activities
Tyranna Resources Limited (ASX: TYX) has successfully concluded a diamond core drilling program at the Namibe Lithium Project in Angola. The project, a joint venture with Sinomine Resources Group Co., Ltd., represents a significant step forward in advancing the company’s strategic focus on demand-driven metals.
Key Outcomes from the Drilling Campaign
The recently completed program included 11 diamond core drill holes, totaling 817 meters. Drilling efforts concentrated on multiple prospects:
- Muvero Prospect: Provided a metallurgical sample and advanced structural interpretation.
- Loop Prospect: Initial drill holes intersected spodumene-mineralized pegmatite.
- Calicatas Prospect: Pegmatites were targeted for geochemical analysis to assess their potential for future exploration.
Insights into Drilling Results
At the Muvero and Loop Prospects, spodumene, a key lithium-bearing mineral, was visually identified, marking a promising development in the project. Geochemical analyses of samples from the Calicatas pegmatite will determine its fertility and prioritize it for future drilling. Drill hole logging and sampling are currently underway, with sample preparation in Angola and detailed analysis in Perth, WA. Results are anticipated in late Q1 or early Q2 of 2025.
Advancing the Lithium Opportunity
Tyranna’s Managing Director, David Crook, expressed optimism about the exploration progress, noting the promising identification of lithium mineralization and the ongoing evaluation of other projects in Angola. Mapping and geochemical sampling beyond the drilled prospects have resumed, aiming to expand the inventory of high-priority drill targets.
Broader Strategic Goals
The Namibe Lithium Project underscores Tyranna’s broader strategy of acquiring and developing metals critical for the global energy transition. The company is also exploring opportunities to diversify into metals beyond lithium within Angola, demonstrating a commitment to long-term growth in the sector.
Looking Ahead
With the completion of this phase of exploration, Tyranna Resources remains well-positioned to deliver further updates as the results of the analyses become available in early 2025. The company’s proactive approach to exploration and strategic evaluation continues to set the foundation for future development success.
